This article applies to XC Home/Small Office (hosted) users only.
A separate article applying to XC Small/Medium Business and XC Enterprise will be released shortly.
Important XC Connect updates that affect the upcoming switch to Daylight Saving Time are available. These updates are critical due to updates that have just been, or are about to be, released by both Microsoft and Apple as it relates to 2007 Daylight Saving Time.
Important for Mac users:
- Entourage users: Make sure that your version of Entourage is up to date. The current Entourage version is 11.3.4.
- Make sure that all updates for the OSX operating system have been applied.
Outlook users:
- Right-click on the blue XCN ball and select Exit to stop the XC connector.
- Via any web browser, go to https://asp.xcnetwork.com/xcnetwork/admin. This will take you to the XCN Server Administrative screen.
- On the XCN Server Administrative screen, select the "connectors" link.
- Scroll down to Connector for Microsoft Outlook, double click on it to download it to your computer. Make sure that you remember where (what location) you are downloading it to.
- Install the updated connector by double clicking on the downloaded package.
- The updated connector is Version 3.2.082.
Mac users:
- should automatically be notified that a new connector is available. To confirm, select XC Connect for (Entourage or OSX) -> About.
- The updated (new) Entourage connector is Version 3.2.018
- The updated (new) OSX connector is Version 3.2.021
- Entourage users: Make sure that your version of Entourage is up to date. The current Entourage version is 11.3.4.
- Make sure that your OSX operating system is up to date.
- Select XC Connect for (Entourage or OSX) -> Quit to exit the XC connector
- IMPORTANT: delete the TEMP folder at Documents / XC Connect for (Entourage or OSX).
- Via any web browser, go o to https://asp.xcnetwork.com/xcnetwork/admin
- On the XCN Server Administrative screen, select the 'connectors' link.
- Scroll down to select the appropriate connector for your desktop (Entourage or OSX), double click on it to download it to your computer. Make sure that you remember where (what location) you are downloading it to.
- Install the updated connector by double clicking on the downloaded package.
Note: Calendar events that have already been created may show incorrect times. You will have to manually modify those events (either delete and re-create them or edit them).
