Xchange Network releases Universal Application compliance for XC Connect for Intel-Mac |
April 2006
Xchange Network, a leading provider of advanced collaboration solutions, today announced availability of its “Universal-Binary” compliant solution for its acclaimed collaboration product—XC Connect™. As a universal application, XC Connect for the Macintosh OS X runs natively on both the Power PC and the new Intel-based Macintosh computers.
“Having achieved universal binary support with XC Connect, Xchange Network continues to be the only company in the world that enables users to synchronize calendar, address book, and task data across the heterogeneous desktop environment,” stated Bill McManus, Vice President of Sales and Business Development for Xchange Network. “We are unique in this regard and will continue to be at the forefront of the technology curve.”
With the release of Apple’s Intel-Mac, the need for universal applications that work within a cross-platform environment is becoming more evident. Universal applications allow users to reap the highest performance benefits—without having to invest in costly and complex solutions.
“Our strategy reflects the real-world needs of users who work within cross-platform, multi-application environments and require simple solutions to create collaborative, universal working environments,” said McManus. “XC Connect provides our users with a powerful and cost-effective solution to quickly and easily create universal applications.”
