Installed XP SP2 - can't connect to server error

Question:
Installed XP SP2 - can't connect to server error

Answer:
If you have installed the XP SP2 upgrade you will need to  go into the Windows Security Center and add an exception to the firewall for port number 10001 on the XC Server.

on the XP SP2 computer hosting the XCN Server:
- go to Control Panel and select "Security Center"
- scroll down to Windows Firewall and select it
- select the tab "Exceptions"
- select "Add Port"
- in the "name" field enter "XCN"
- in the "port" field enter "10001"
- select the "TCP" button
- select "OK"

now add one more:
- select "Add Port"
- in the "name" field enter "XCN"
- in the "port" field enter "80"
- select the "TCP" button
- select "OK"

And that should now allow access by your remote computers to the XCN Server.
