| Installation of the Evolution Connector: Java not found |
| |
While installing the Evolution Connector I can't seem to be able to specify the location of Java in the correct way. |
| |
You can install the J2SDK wherever you like, so long as it is the 1.4 version. The connector installer should give you the option to specify where Java is. If it is installed in /usr/share/java, simply tell it that when it asks where Java is installed. By default, the installer checks /usr/java/ and /usr/share/java/. The installer checks the directory it is given for the subdirectory 'bin' and then the executable within bin called 'java'. So, if you installed it and it ended up at /usr/share/java/j2sdk1.4, then tell the connector installer /usr/share/java/j2sdk1.4. |
