Can I create a "distribution" group (an alias group of users)? |
| |
Yes, you can create a group, i.e. "QA Team" that consists of a group of users. You might use this group to populate various folders with users, instead of adding them in one at a time. You must have "administrative" privileges to do this. Process:
Windows desktop - right-click on the blue Xchange Network Icon in the system tray.
Linux desktop - select "Options" in the XC Connect Window.
Select "User Administration". Select "Add Group".
Select a name for the group (i.e. QA Team), and a Group Administrator. Do not provision any of the Modules Contacts/Calendar/Tasks/XC Vault). Select "Add Group". Select the users you want from the "Non-Members" list and add them to the appropriate membership role (Administrators have Read/Write/Delete privileges, Members Read/Write, and Guests Read-only).
Select Update Group and you are done.
The next time you create an XC Vault Folder or an Outlook Group, you will see the group QA Team in [ ] brackets ( i.e. [QA Team]). |
