| Configuring Remote XC Connect Users |
| |
I am trying to connect from a remote location to my office computer. The problem is that the address http://ip_address/xcnetwork/admin is coming up as "page cannot be displayed". The address works fine from all of the computers in the office, but not from any remote computers. How do I configure XC Connect users for remote access? |

Several things to check:
1. Is the "IP address" actually accessible as a domain from outside of your office LAN? You can use the Public IP address of your office location. If you don't know what it is, from your office location you can identify it by simply going to www.whatismyip.com.
2. Make sure that your router is configured to "port forward" ports 80 and 10001 to the internal IP address of the computer on which the XCN Server is installed.
3. Make sure that there is not a firewall that is blocking access to the computer on which the XCN Server is installed. |
