| Error message: Can't connect to Outlook? |

Why am I getting the Error message: Can't connect to Outlook? |
| |
There are a couple of possible reasons for this problem. 1. Make sure that the XC Connect Client is up before Outlook is started. It should start automatically on reboot and you should see the blue XCN icon in your system tray. Then when you open Outlook, XC Connect should attach automatically to Outlook. If you still get the error, then go to next step below. 2. Sometime Windows registry cleaners remove important keys. If the above does not solve the problem try this.
In your Registry, under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ we expect the key 'Outlook.Application' followed by the key 'Outlook.Application.11' (or some number, might be 9, 10 or 12...). Please confirm these keys exist. If they are not present we cannot attach to Outlook. If the keys do not exist, contact support@xcnetwork.com and we will provide a key insertion script. Be sure to tell us which version of Outlook is installed. |
